Last Thursday I and two friends left Mi. for Arnold Ne. for a visit. Got there Friday morning. Saturday morning continued west on Hwy.2 to Alliance to pick up a tractor. Man, there's nothing between Arnold and Alliance in the Sand Hills. Then back to Arnold for another day. Left Sunday and back home Monday evening. 2350 miles round trip.
Seen a lot of different farming techniques than we use. Never been able to go on a trip in the spring or fall before.
I thought when we started coming out of the Sand Hills on the west side could be near where you live. Could you tell what town you're near. If we we were close along the way I would have an idea of the terrain you live in.

Did you see any antelope up there in the Sandhills? The ranches are few and far between up around there. Did you go out and see Carhenge by Alliance? You should have driven north on the trip back and seen the Chadron-Ft. Robinson area...beautiful scenery!! They have a lot of pines in the area up there.

Seen something four legged of in the distance other than cattle, did not know what it was.
The trailer grossed 17,700 and was a 14,000 pound trailer. We didn't pull it any out of our way. Mark

A fellow who used to work for me had a daughter and son-in-law who ranched near Valentine, Nebraska.

From their house on the ranch, the closest place they could buy a hamburger was 42 miles.
