Case 590 super L

I am in the process of buying a Case 590 super L bsckhoe. I tried to do my homework and although it has 5100 hours it looks to be in very good condition.

Boom pivot has almost no slop and hoses any cylinders appear to have minimal to no leaks.

Does anyone know of issues with this rig? It has 4 speed with a built in shuttle shift.

This hoe is somewhat heavier than what I was looking for (20,000 lbs) but is just $4000 more than what I was going to settle for, a cub cadet 30hp compact that would only dig 8 feet.

Thanks in advance,

Brad

I have had a few backhoes the last case backhoe i had was a 580 superl it was a pretty good machine just keep it greased check oil levels and the front axle has planetaries check the oil levels in them

if you go shopping for a different backhoe stay away from the case sk models they have the fuel and hyd tanks in the frames of the machine they tend to crack and you have to pull the motors to weld them up i have done a couple so far

I think the 590 Super L's have a good reputation. If the pivots are tight and you can see it's been greased is a good sign. 5100 hours isn't a lot if it's been well cared for. It looks like a nice machine in the picture.
