Hypro sprayer pump

Model is 9018, just wondering if there is supposed to be oil in the front part of the pump, it is bone dry. No oil residue in it either. What kind if any should be in there? Thanks

80W90 oil. Dont run the pump without liquid in the pump side, thats what lubricates the seals. Those are good pumps, last forever if properly maintained. Use antisieze on any hardware if you have to dis-assemble, many herbicides are corrosive and these pumps can be real PITA to disassemble when bolts seize.
