never do this

I was told to fix a spark plug up with a air adapter on the end and put in spark plug hole and turn air on would help break lose motor from air presure, well it will not work , all that happens is makes a big mess. all 4 cyclinders made a mess. so dont anyone ever do this, speaking from experienced. All the diesel break fluid, wd40 and all went everwhere. A big nono.

You are supposed to make sure all valves are closed like backing out adjustments or removing push rods or rockers. Then you increase air pressure slowly with a regulated air supply. That being said, I doubt if it would work anyway if stuck very solid.

Some people use a grease gun. Others use a porta power pump. Don't hook one up to a 4430 SCV. You ain't gotta mess ! lol.

Well first off all the diesel fluid brake fluid and WD40 in the world will not brake and engine free unless it is stuck so little a good big bar would not have done it/ ATF if gas and turpentine if diesel it the only thing that might work but if it is locked up because of water in the cylinder nothing other then a rebuild will do it. Yep I have tried 99% of the tricks and I know what does and does not work

I have found it is just as fast in the long run to just pull the head/heads. You are only gabling the cost of a few gaskets. So unless it is something real rare I just remove them. That way you can see what is going on and make a much better decision based on fact not guesses.

That said I know that many will try for the lottery and waste time/effort trying all types of home brews. Many times tearing up more things in the effort to spin a stuck motor.

Had a guy ruin a whole set of connecting rods try to pull a stuck motor. He bent everyone of them. The problem??? Ground squirrel had packed one cylinder full of shelled corn. If he had pulled the head he would have only needed new gaskets. Cylinder bores where fine. He might have even been able to blow it out the injector hole but some one told him to soak it in diesel fuel. So he filled all the cylinder up first. Well that was the end of getting anything blown out.

i know any mechanic would just remove the head and do the job properly. not even waste time on any sort of soaking, swearing, or screwing things up by trying to loosen a stuck engine. biggest thing is most people with a stuck engine dont have a clue what to do so they think soaking is the answer,... wrong. i have even seen the sleeves broke off at the top on a w6 and pulled down into the bore, by pulling and popping the clutch. my advise, keep that damm exhuast pipe coverd when tractor is not in use. any sort of rain or other moisture causes pitting of cyl. walls and valves and seats. very easy to see this on engine dissasembly. sure they will run but there is nothing for an engine that has water sit in it.

ive used air on a sparkplug adapter- but only to check for stuck valves, [ air out the exhaust that valve is stuck, air out the carb that valve is open, think about it, most compressors are set to about 120 psi, normal good compression on a good engine, if that will move it so will a socket and breaker bar , like others have said if its stuck, pull the head and find out why
