Yeah, and manner of death would probably be getting the slats kicked out of him. I sure wouldn't put them together.

That's quite the visual...........somehow I can't stop giggling to myself.
Somewhere along the way that horses' ancestors musta got too close to a dalmatian!

We did some boarding for a while and somebody wanted to turn a mini stallion out with the rest of the bunch. We discouraged it for a while and then they kind of showed up with the horse and we reluctantly relented. He lasted about 8 hours before we called and told them to move him out to an arena before he got himself killed. One of the mares had him by the neck and shook him like a rag doll and he kept coming back for more. Last I knew they had him gelded and he toned down a bit, but they still could not put him in with other horses. I guess he still thought he was a stallion and wanted to either be in charge with other geldings or impress the girls.

I am glad we only have our own horses around here now. Generally the horses were OK, but the people that come with them gave us fits.

Some years ago a co-worker told me that at the race horse breeding facilities they actually put a shetland stallion with an in-heat race horse mare to "prepare" her before they allow the race horse stallion in with her. Something about protecting the big stallion from being injured. Don't know if that's fact or here-say.

Good friend works on a horse farm in Lexington, Ky. They have fancy Tennessee walking horses. They run a Shetland pony with the mares to help work the mares up before they put the mare in with the stud. Some of those studs are worth millions. I often though about how frustrated that pony would be. He could see it, smell it, but could not reach it. LMAO
