I was getting only 2-3 thousand miles out of the tires on my old trailer and they were good tires too. Then I got a fifth wheel trailer with twice the number of tires and it looks like I'm getting about ten times the miles.

I was not happy at all with my trailer tires. They leaked air at the bead, never held air pressure, and were China junk. I believe they were 9.50-16 rated 3K each. They were the same size as my 235-85-16E truck tires. Truck tires were half worn, they went on trailer, truck got new Michelins. Two years on these trailer tires, and I couldn't be happier. Philip.

Load Range "E" would be the highest on my priority list if ever attempting to load the trailer near the GVW.

By trailer tires. There cheaper in the long run because they weather check slower. I have been getting 8 ply from local tire dealer

trailer tires and truck tires are not compatible you should not use truck tires on trailers the rubber compound in truck tires is for getting a hold of the pavement and will make the trailer turn harder because the tire will want to bite the road and it will fail in the side walls. trailer tires us harder compound so they will slide. check with a good tire dealer and find out

go with LT235/75r15 6 ply truck tires in the least agressive tread pattern you can find.- may be able to find them used as well, it's a popular size. Work MUCH better than the junk 225/75-15st trailer tires!

I have been taking the ones off my pickup and putting them on my trailer when the tread gets low. They both take 16" ones so it works out good.
