Not from an auction. I bought one thing, got to talking to the guy and he kept bringing more stuff out. Gave me a bundled price. I did not steal it, but the price was fair. Not here to brag about that. Just some nice tools for the forum. All are Starrett. The one box is hard to see. It is a dial test indicator #711MGCSZ. Everything is in excellent shape. Most I can tell you what it is or does. A couple...not so much. The corks did not come with...I stopped and bought those. The thing is lethal sharp.

The indicator is probably called a Last Word competes with Brown and Sharpe Best Test. Nice additions to your machinist tools.

Very nice About $450 new. Gauge blocks are special. Dividers obvious. The two center objects are edge finders for setting Zero reference on milling machines. The pointy one is called a wiggler, the flat one is a .200 diameter edge finder that breaks (to one side when it reaches edge full contact thus being .100 inches away at its center. Jim

Are the pieces in the wood box tapered and marked in degrees? I've seen sets of them for setting up on angles. Or they could be just parallels in different thichkesses.

That's correct. Last word indicator. Has an assortment of different mounts in the case. Honestly, not 100% what they are all for. Might be a picture in itself. Just assuming they are for different applications. Magnetic base, lathe tool post, etc. Appears to be older so might be some of the mounts are not as useful as they once were.
