Wednesday morning in south Jersey and the trash truck just went by. No wind and the temp is at 31 ' degrees. When I was a LOT younger that may have been a job but not now. What do you think of riding around on the back of a trash truck when the temp really goes down and the wind is blowin and the snow is startin. AAAAAAAH

(quoted from post at 09:12:11 12/11/13) No wind and the temp is at 31 ' degrees.

That would feel like a heat wave. Temp this morning was -6* with a windchill of -36*. I'm excited because they are saying highs could get close to 20* by the weekend.....

I went to Clarkson U in Potsdam NY walked to class at -40. Remember one week didn"t get above -10
Class of 81

I used to be able to take the cold at the farm in the Endless Mountains of Pa. Now after six stents and the blood thinners, I can't take the cold. Oh' well it was good up til then.

Just remember that al gore made tons of money by shovin this warming garbage down our throats! How many scientist are now strarting to say it is crap?

Graduated from Clarkson in '91 (BSME), and it didn't get any warmer in 10 years. Remember one brisk evening walking back from an extended Friday-night "study break" where the temperature at the bank on the corner said -55F. I can't vouch for its accuracy, though -40 was fairly common, but I can say that it's a tad over a mile from the bars to the dorms and you can bet we were picking 'em up and putting 'em down! Had -11 here last night, digging out from a good old-fashioned Tug Hill snowstorm, with 6 to 12 more inches forecast for tonight.
