old Thanks for the reply.. but I'm trying to go the other way, making a single acting into a 2 way. I wondered if any one has tapped the side or rod end with success..to retract the rod ? I don't find any small, small 2 way cylinders and they are quite pricey at that. This is a low budget project if you know what I mean.. Jo |

| Making a single acting into a double is not possible due to the fact the hyd seals in the single acting is set up for pressure only one way and if you did some how drill and tap and installed a fitting it would not last very long if it lasted one time. Double acting cylinders are easy to find and on my place a dime a dozen but I have a lot of them laying around |
