 Well my "wireless" drive way alarms usually last about 10-12 years. The effectiveness kind of fades after that. They are kind of high maintenance and heavy to lift. They usually weight in at about 60-70 lbs. The colors have been different from one model to the next. Here is a picture of the latest one. He was just a few months old then. He is about twice the size now. LOL Now to actually answer your question. I have tried several brands of the wireless alarms. None of them have worked very well. They seem to give too many false alarms. I went back with a hard wired one. It works much better. It is a Dakota Alert brand. They sense the metal in a car/truck/tractor. |

| JD , I have 4 portable alerts like yours and they work good in the warm weather but they sleep in the barn in the cold weather and dont here much . I put a new porch on the front of my house and cant here much inside anymore . I will checkout the Dakota , thanks guys |
