I just tore it down completely. Mosty oily water sludge inside. Crank and rods look rusted quite a bit.
haven't got bearings off of crank yet. There not just sliding off. Gonna clean it up a bit and go from there. Where is the best place for parts? |

| | You can knock the roller bearings off pretty easy with an air hammer but be careful not to wreck the sheet metal cups on either end of the crankshaft. Independent Components Corp and Parts Service International supplied most of the stuff I used to rebuild with. I"d go with OEM valve springs though, and double check bearing clearances and ring gap. |

| flywheel is 19". Papers I found on it say need a 20". Is that common?
parts service international said they had no parts. As far as icc they only sell to suppliers.
Maybe this thing is not worth rebuilding. I'm still pushin fwd though!

| Roger, u had mentioned lapping valves in another thread. I have my valves pretty clean and I"m unsure what two edges u speak of. Could you post a pic? Also seen springs put in several ways. Which way do you prefer? Thanks Phil |
