I listened to the news and heard it yesterday. But today, I listened to them talking to a state senator that said that even though the court told Illinois that it must adhere to the U.S. Supreme Courts ruling on the right to bare arms, she said that she, they will do whatever it takes to make it so restrictive that it will be impossible to obtain one. What went through my mind immediately was that instead of stating what she, they will do to help or work with the constituents they are paid by and supposed to serve, her take was what she, they will DO TO the constituents they are paid by and supposed to serve. And, I heard that the Illinois States Attorney, Lisa Madigan is contemplating suing to have the ruling overturned, as though that is her job, which it is not. About a year ago, she was going to have the names and addresses of FOID card holders released to the public so that anti-gun folks could go harrass them, but the Illinois State Police sued her, or got a court injunction to block her from doing it, partly because their troopers are FOID card holders too. To the men and women of Illinois, good luck, and good luck cleaning it up, which you really need to do, as opposed to keep reelecting it, them. Mark |

| The state senator in question is out of the loop. If they don"t pass an acceptable law within 180 days, concealed carry becomes the law with NO restrictions. At that point it is out of Illinois" hands. What will happen is that any law, like the state senator advocates, will fail to pass. The reality is there will be too many votes against her type of law. In fact, if the progun congress people just drag thier feet for 6 months and pass nothing, concealed carry will be the law with no restrictions. The last time concealed carry was voted on it nearly passed with super majority. The Chicago machine just doesn"t have the votes on this issue. |
