I got the CTC permit in Minn last summer. I look at it as a double edge sword as any pistol you buy is registered so all they have to do is type in your name and bingo. Pass a law it is illegal and you can expect company. Also the Minn govenor did not sign the Castle Doctrine Law so you can't use deadly force to stop a buglarer unless you can prove he was threatening you or your family with deadly intentions. So you may as well leave your valuables at the curb. I always told people in town to post a sign saying this neighbor believes in gun control and point it at the neighbor who voted for the freebies. |

Who was your instructor?????????
Mn is called PTC (permit to carry). There is no requirement to conceal.
There is no gun registration in Mn.
Why would you you use deadly force without fear of your own life anyhow???
The Thanksgiving incident in Little Falls is a prime example of what NOT to do. |

| It is permit to carry. You do need either a permit to purchase or permit to carry to purchase a handgun. This is sent to the gov where it is recorded. This is called registration in my book. I do agree about your comment of what not to do but seeing you are a expert what would you have done? Remenber hindesight is 100%. Maybe after being burglarized several times he snapped. Neither of us was in his shoes. Granted he was wrong in killing them. What if he hollered stop and they came at him? I would like to see you open carry and get by with it . The proper term is permit to carry but you are just inviting problems doing so. The firm advice was conceal and carry to avoid many problems. The name of my instructor is easily read on my certificate. What is the name of your instructor? |
