The passenger side front door power window in my wife's 2000 Camry recently started making a rubbing sound when it is raised or lowered. This doesn't seem like something that would just start happening from the friction of the glass against the rubber seals in one window but none of the others. But maybe it has.Is there a good way to check that the window has not slipped out of place, causing the rubbing sound from it being pushed against some amount of binding? If that's not the problem, is there any type of lubricant that would be appropriate for the situation? Thanks, Stan |

More than likely, the glides-n-slides inside the door need cleaning and lube OR the power motor is starting to go. Does the window come up smooth or jerky or slower than the drivers window? Usually, smooth = needs a cleanin. HTH...good luck...don t. ....

We used a candle wax or canning wax on the edge of the window for lubricant to ease the sliding on both electric and manual windows in autos. Hope it helps, Regards, LOU

Silicone spray,or most tire dressing containing glycerine will lube rubber parts.

Look at the frame of the window and make sure it has not been bent a little bit or twisted a bit. Seen that happen from a person slamming a door real hard or other such thing and that can cause that type of problem. A lot of times you can see it by looking at the rubber or what ever it sits in in the window frame as you will see a mark showing it rubs harder in that area
