Not many people use them any more. I saw a good one sell with the table saw, band saw, plainer, and turning lathe. It brought $150 and only had two bids on it. The rest of the wood working stuff sold sky high so the people where there but the Shopsmith stuff just does not have a very good resale. [Reply]  [No Email]

Like most machines designed to do multiple things, it does them all adequately but none of them really well. I have a Mark 5, and while I was on active duty in the Navy and severely restricted on space, it was just the ticket. Now that I have a little more room, it's been pretty much replaced with a real table saw and a sliding compound miter saw. I do still use the disc sander and bandsaw functions, and have the lathe tools around if I need them. [Reply]  [No Email]
