Ken Macfarlane 11-26-2012 07:31:42 142.166.168.2 Report to Moderator	I picked up a beefy looking compressor at the dump this weekend. Unfortunately the intercooler coil was missing. The tank it was on had been patched several times and looked like an epoxy patch had recently blown off. There are not markings other than a number printed on the head that I can't quite read yet. There was another filter or muffler that someone had broken off of somewhere, I think someone may have been running it as a single stage dual inlet? Not sure. I found a similar compressor with a different head shown on welding web, but its not id'ed either. http://weldingweb.com/showthread.php?t=40664 Anyone have any guesses? I know there isn't a scale for reference but the mounting feet are about 8 inch centres, it weighs about 60-70 lbs I'm guessing. [Reply]   [No Email]

I've looked at pushing 1000 pictures of old quincies now and can't find anything really close. I assume the bolts in the top are valves vs the reed type ones, they have multiple punch marks in them. Not sure if they marked them every time they were serviced or what? I rolled it over, the hp side pumps ok but the lp side is both blowing and sucking on the discharge. I'll take it apart here soon to see whats sticking. [Reply]  [No Email]

Mine is a Quincy. I'm pretty sure yours is an older Quincy. I do have a contact person that I am fairly sure can identify it for you.
