The gutter guards that I like are sold at Lowes and Menards. They are 4 ft long plastic guard with round holes. The holes are covered with window screen. I don't have to worry about maple spinners getting stuck in the guards like they do in most other guards. I have taken sheet metal screws and attached them to the top of the gutter if I can't get it to snap and stay in place. I've also takens sissors and trimmed them to fit. George   [Reply]  [No Email]

I guess it depends on the situation. I have pine needles, cottonwood fuzz,maple helicopters plus the normal leaves.When I"d ask the suppliers about that they"d wrinkle their noses and stutter a bit. Of course, they"d say we"ll clean it for free. No thanks. Went with much larger conventional gutters and downspouts and it solved the problem.Plus the neighbor boy with clean them for $10. My other observation is that a company that can take out full page ads just "might" have too much margin.   [Reply]  [No Email]

They've worked quite well so far. This company is no longer in business. The cost was $1238.00 back then. You can now have them made on the site. They make the gutter and guard in one operation. If it'll let the rain water in, it will also let the fine sand from the shingles, small pieces of decayed leaves, twigs, and etc., which will still clog up the gutter, but make it impossible to clean out.
