All, I bought a small lathe and want forward and reverse motor operation from it. The motor is an EICOR, which doesn't seem to follow any standards for terminations. The terminals are labelled one through 6, with nothing on 6, just a hole in the area a stud would be. Perhaps other here could shed some light. The motor is running off 120v single phase just fine in forward. Any help to locate what I've got and where to go is appreciated. Thnaks in advance, D. |

| An electrician wired my South Bend with a single phase. I have no idea how he did it but it works, The only thing is it has to come to a stop before it can be reversed. So a job like tapping is harder to do. |

| All I know is that it takes 5 leads to reverse a single phase motor. Can't tell you how to do it. I'd probably start by looking at the switch gear and wiring on one of my electric hoists. |
