Hi all, I have a small compressor that works fine up to pressure then stops. It then bleeds off air slowly. when pressure drops to a restart pressure it will stall and blow the breaker. Any ideas on whats the cause? Thanks, Jim Will |

| | Yep, J-tex is right. The check valve where the large line from the pump goes into the tank, is to keeps air from getting back to the head. What it is doing is leaking thru to the head, and thru the unloader which is open because it normally is when the pump shuts off with the pressure switch, this is why the air is bleeding off. The unloader should bleed off a small amount of air then quit. Charles |

| I had one do that once, it was the check valve in the line from the tank to the compressor head. mine was located just out of the tank and the line went from it to the head. |
