As dry as it is our garden is looking good. Fortunately I used my post hole digger early this spring and dug 4ft deep holes to plant my plants into. It made the roots go deep easily and when I water every night each plant takes 4 gallon of water. I'll be digging holes every year from now on.

You must not have the problem with deer around your place like i have. My pepper plants looked like yours until the deer started feasting on them every night. I planted watermelons one year and when they were just about ready to pick the deer busted them open and helped theirself. Now i m having problems with birds pecking away at my ripe tomatoes. Most of my neighbors have fences around their gardens but i don t so i m an easy target.

What does your water/power bill run to water these plants? (4gal X nr. of plants/day?)

I have some double pictures in the post. Lost track of which ones I posted...LOL! The one canaloupe measures 27½ inch circumfrence. I had one last year that weighed in at 14 lbs and had a 29 inch circumfrence.

Yep, everything looks good. I pulled up all our tomatoes and squash yesterday. They were overgrown. Pulled up the cantaloupes, too. We had made a few big ones. Now all we have left are okra and peppers.
