Bond aluminum?

I have 2 pieces of threaded alum pipe (male/female) that I want to bond together permanently. Eventually these will see about 30 to 40 psi of air pressure on the inside. Thread is not pipe type, just straight and kind of worn/loose. Don't want to braze. I could go the usual dope/teflon tape route, but I want to prevent anyone from ever taking them apart. Can an epoxy like JB Weld be use on the threads or do I need a special designed adhesive for this? Thanks!!

The JB weld is about the best choice. Clean the threads with lacquer thinner and permit to dry. Use the slow set epoxy, not the 5 minute type. Let it cure for 48 hours. Of course it can be taken apart or the pipe can be sawed or melted with a torch. But the epoxy will be about the best you can do.

Devcon make a product caled "Alumaputty" that we have used on aluminum tankers, you won't ever get apart.
