Kazuma Go Carts

Does anyone have a Kazuma brand four wheeler or go cart. They also made some small dirt bike size motorcycles . Yes ,they are Chinese made. My small engine mechanic friend has one in his shop now to work on . It is a go cart and it only has one sticker with information on it . The sticker says Kazuma Motor Off Road - VIN # KZMZSFCY - it then has some numbers ingraved in the sticker after this like the old metal model and serial number plates did years ago. I thought that these was the serial numbers / vin numbers and most places don't ask for the serial number , just the model number. Someone else worked on it and now it's running ,but not running right or so the owner says. My friend and I tried to start it the other day and the only way we could get it to turn over was to short the solenoid out. It was dead silence with the key , like voltage wasn't even getting to the switch. My friend said if he couldn't fix it with his parts and just taking the carb. apart and cleaning it and putting it back together , it wouldn't be fixed . Does anyone have this machine ? Does anyone know anything about this brand ? The motor on it looks like a small motor cycle motor . Does anyone know where I can get a electrical and mechanical schematic for it ? Most places have a place were you can go and type in the model number for it and get a parts listing or a schematics. I can't find one for these . I did , though , find a USA parts place for it but they will probably want a pretty penny for it. Any and all help will be appreciated . Thank you.

have you tried pressing the brake as you try to start it. i have a kazuma 110 4 wheeler and it has a switch on the brake. on mine if you dont press the brake it dont start. the parts they sell are limited. good luck

By my count, you used 299 words to ask the 18-word question "Does anyone know where I can get a electrical and mechanical schematic for a Kazuma brand dirt bike?"

WHAT is your point?

My point is that if you have the time to count the words in my post then you have too much time on your hands.... I was only trying to state my problem and give all the information that I could think of to of use.

Yes Sir ,

We did try that but it didn't work. We tried to start it with gear shifter in various positions, with the seatbelt fastened and someone setting in the seat. Nothing worked. Yes the parts are limited and that's what I was asking - if anyone knew of another place to get parts or a diagram of the electrical / mechanical systems on it . So we will know what part is what.Thank you for the good luck.

I DIDN'T take the time to count the words... I cut and pasted them into a free "on-line" word counter!

What I want is more information on it. I was wondering if anyone else had this machine and the same problem ? I was also wondering if anyone had a schematic of it or another source of parts / schematics. Also, if anyone knew more about this brand. For a little more information on what I want see the reply to John in WA. Thank you , Sir.

hope this helps. should give you a good idea of what you are looking for.http://www.buyatvsonline.com/e22-engine-chinese-engine-manuals-wiring-diagram-p-9161.html

John in Wa ,

Thank you for your help and your time . I'll print it out and take it with me tommorrow night to his house. I'm not sure what year it is. It dosen't appear to be more that mid to early 90's . Thank you so much. This may or may not be it but it 's what I was looking for - a free diagram of the electrical system . Thank you.

Kazuma is just another word to describe "Chinese-made" The karts, quads, and motorbikes are made in sixty or more independant shops throughout China the last time I researched them, and change names as often as you change you socks. If you find parts or a shop that can fix them let me know because I have a junkpile of their stuff. I found exactly ONE guy in the US that said he could get parts, and when I called him back to order a stator he had gone out of business. I had a Chinese translator try it and even she was stumped.

Chinese gocarts are hard to track down. I learned if you can find a local dealer (basically the guy you bought it from) they will have the parts. Check out hammerhead go carts. I think all of these chinese carts come from the same place. I need to rebuild the carb on ours, its completely clogged.

Whizkid,
The Kazuma brand is one of the best from China. Most will say that is not saying much, but I have no problem working on them, or getting parts. I live in Texas, about 130 miles N. of Houston, so their warehouse etc is close by. Their engines are "knock-offs" of the older Honda motorcycle engines. They have devised ways to add reverse, the electric start, and electronic ignitions Honda did not have when these engines were made by them. The engines with the upright cylinders (usually 200 or 250cc) are based on the Honda Rebel 250cc engine. The horizontal engines are based on the Honda 50 and 90cc engines. They have bored them bigger to get the 110, and the 150 engines. If something bad happens, you replace the piston and cylinder. Most are very simple, and so are the electronics/electrics. The biggest problem I have found with any of them, is the Ground. It is either too small a wire, or the various Ground connections are poor. I start by using at least 12 gauge wire for all of the connections if it is not that size to begin. The "Hot" wire is usually too small for the starter circuit, and needs to be at least 10 gauge. I buy the Black and Red speaker wire used by the Boom Box drivers. It is 6 gauge, flexible, and heavy insulation. One other thing about these rides, is the starter. I have found that if it doesn't start, folks will stay on the starter button/switch, and keep going with no cool down time. It burns up the starter. The area where the brushes are mounted, is plastic, and goes fast. As for the prices, a starter runs between $40.00 and $130.00 depending on the brand, and size of the engine. The Cool Sports have no place near me, as well as a couple of others!!
