I don't know why they continue making the one doller bills when these would last so much longer. What do you people think, would you use a new dollar coin (if it didn't look like a quarter again) or do you think this is just a money maker for the goverment as many people buy and hoard coins? They use all kinds of large coins. It was one more thing that made me hate that land of miserable hatefull people. "But they are a solem people". Bull, they are miserable. If I get a few too many in my pocket I just spend them instead of notes or bung 'em in the ashtray of my ute. The Canadians use only 1 and 2 dollar coins, no paper. Until this happens here no change. I don't want to carry a pocket full of slugs. Don't want to any civil servents to retire from the mint. Anyway who wants to carry around a pocket full of heavy change.As for filling up the wallet, who even carries a wallet anymore? The only thing in this mans pocket is paper folded over the drivers license and debit card, anything else is overkill.If you do anykind of traveling you will know what I'm talking about.A wallet is nothing but a liability. Rubber band is used for money clip. (rubber band last aprox. 60 days and needs replacement) Storage in front pants pocket. Very safe from pickpockets, doesn't work out like a billfold does and is not uncomfotable like a billfold is. Myself, I would like the dollar coins. If you use your coins like you would dollar bills you shouldn't have over 4 in your pocket at one time.   [Reply]   [No Email]

In fact, most new billfolds now don"t even have a coin pocket any more. john in nebraska 11-26-2006 19:24:11 209.74.225.137 181493 Report to Moderator	Re: not tool talk but money talk in reply to mpuller2, 11-26-2006 17:32:02   the Susan B. and the Sacajawea coins failed because the US mint doesn't understand that the umpteen million cash register drawers in use in the USA don't have a spot for a dollar coin, and they made them way too close to size of the quarter, everytime change was handed out the help shorted the drawer by $.75, was complained about when the Susan B's came out, soooo they made the 'gold' coin the same dern size. Guess nobody remembers there used to be a 1/2 dollar coin? at least not in the mint.   [Reply]   [No Email]

What I don't understand is when I read in the paper last week about the miserable failure of the Susie B. and Sacagawea (sp?) dollar. I have yet to receive either for change. How can a denomination of currency fail? Either they distribute them, or they don't. Plus, I think the new coin would be kinda tricky to make stay in a dancing girl's g-string.......well, maybe not if properly applied. I've had maybe a half dozen of the golden dollars and I don't see what the fuss is about. If you've got a big handful of change in your pocket its because you're too lazy to use change when you buy stuff. I know thats true because I do it...
