If you are just looking for a "stationary engine" to play with, the McCormick Deering LA/LB series engines or Fairbanks engines are easy to work on and Hit N Miss enterprises has most of the common parts available. They are throttle governed engines, meaning they hit on every rotation of the crank. If yo are looking for a true hit n miss engine, get an Economy/Hercules or John Deere engine, though the Deere can be a little pricey to buy...go figure..John Deere...haha. simple to work on, parts, again at Hit N Miss Engerprises are pretty common and plentiful. Most, except for the Deere, yo will spend 2-300.00 to get them, if you are looking at the 1-2hp range, bigger, gets you into the 8-1500 range, the Deere will set you back, average about 750.00-1000 for the little 1-2 horse engine [Reply]   [No Email]
