I work on Wisconsin Engines, and search E-Bay ocasionally, for parts. Today, under the catagory "Wisconsin Engine", I saw a number of USED head gaskets. Now, I usually throw my used Head Gaskets away...I didn't realize that they were valuable??? I get most of my Wisconsin Engine parts from NAPA,fuel pumps,Carb kits,Gasket sets, single head gaskets, Valves, Piston Rings. Also, you can still get lots of parts direct from Wisconsin. There is a Distributor list in the web site Wisconsinmotors.com, though they are pricey. I've got a Wisconsin Master parts book, and can help anyone find a part number. e-mail is open. |

| Since I'm rebuilding Wisconsin engines for others I can't take the risk of poor quality, thus i'll pay a few bucks more rather than taking a gamble on a used gasket! |

| | Hey Greygoat, I will routinly re-use a head gasket on the older Briggs or Wisconsin cast iron engines if the have the metal gaksets, spray them with a couple coats of copper coat, let them tack up real good and put them on, unless head gasket is blown out or burnt, that always has worked good for me. The copper coat will seal any little inperfections in the gasket Jim |
