Having trouble with my welder machine runs great welds great returns to idle normally.Have rebuilt carb,replaced points,wires,and plugs.Have ck timing good,ck fuel supply good.The problem i'm having is when you strike a arc the eng.comes up to operating rpms and starts to surge rapidly.The gov. arm bounces back and forth but you can stsbilize w/finger and welder will weld good until you start the procedure of striking a arc agsin please help desprate thanks. |

| Sounds like you just need the governor linkage adjusted. One of the best places for service or advice is Bill's Welder Repair. Just Google them and send an e-mail to Kaye. Governor adjustment might be linked on their web site and if not, it's most likely on Lincoln's web site. Your machine should have an electronic idler and the green light indicating good oil pressure. I had some questions about my 1961 SA 200 and Kaye got back to me pretty quick. You could also ask on the tool talk forum. Puddles has 5 SA 200's and counting. |
