I am going to make a crank handle for a Briggs model A engine for someone. I need the know the distance from the center of the shaft on the engine, to the center of the grip handle. I have the hand crank for my model Z to copy the design from, but fear that the over-all length may differ from the smaller model A to the much larger model Z. Anyone have a crank start Briggs model A that they could measure from ?? Thanmks for your time. John

| | The Model A and B starter cranks are the same, P/N 99027. Model K, Z, ZZ are the same, P/N 99024. I know a guy with a hand cranked Model B on a Kohler generator. I will see if I can get the measurement you need. Kent |

| Thanks Kent. Someone pointed me in the direction of one on ebay and I was able to figure out the sizing close enough from the photos. I made this one for a fellow, yesterday. It is not exact, but it looks fine from 100 yards away. LOL. John |
