I need to make new boards to bolt my JD 1 1/2 hp model E engine to. I'm wondering what dimensions to use when looking for lumber and how long to make them.Thanks Dave R. |

| 3x3 or standard 4x4 works. Length depends on what you want, if going to put on a cart later or room you have in storage. On one E I did back before you could get the repo cart parts welded up my own cart and just used angle irons on it. You need a good strong pivot on front axle if making your own cart as even the 1 1/2 is heavy enough to break a weak pivot had it happen on one cart once while loading not fun. |
