Is the coil the same for the 1 and 2 cylinder engines? I need one for a 1 cylinder model 34.

On the model 92 the exhaust port came out of the cylinder pointed towards the ground on the model 82 the exhaust port and sparkplug pointed towards the flywheel. The model 82s that I've seen don't have kickstarts either, the kickstart mechanism was on the washing machine. The early 82s used a different ignition,I don't remember for sure what it was,the late 82s and the 92s used the Bosch FY-ED 4 ignition.I have a couple of extra good coils if your interested PM me.

Single model 82 has single bearing on crank. 92 has bearing on each end of crank. Singles were a Bosch mag and coil and 92 & 82 were different. The twin engines used a Eisemann mag had two coils one for each cylinder on stator or a Wico mag had one coil on stator with two outlets both completely different than for singles. Bob's shows to have coils for singles.

Single cylinder and twins use different coils, where did you get the model 34 from,I'm not familiar with that model. The numbers that are on the original tags are for the washing machine, not the engine. Most of the engines were model 92 or 82,I'm not 100% positive but I don't think they even used the same coils. The first thing you need to do is find out for sure, what engine you have.

I found 2 of them last summer. They are both the same,1cylinder, kick start with a tag fastened with 2 screws with the carb. The tag says model 34 on one and the other looks like 31 but could be the way it is stamped. I thought of it now that the coil for a 2 cylinder has 2 secondaries so they are different.

After doing some more checking, it would be a model 92 engine. The 34 must be the washer model.
