I've looked at this quite a bit now. We have a bug in the search based on volume. We are up to many million threads now and the indexing still works well for words that aren't common. It seems words that get too many returns are hanging it and eventually aborting it. You get weird results when it finally comes back.
For now, don't search for a word that is too common without putting another word with it. For example, you can get good returns by putting in "FENDER ORCHARD" but just "ORCHARD" aborts. A word like "HOUSE" will do the same thing. If you go into google and type "ytmag.com: orchard", you get 182000 returns. I think it's having a problem like that when a word gets that many hits.
I will figure out what the core problem is soon. Just takes some debugging.
