Good afternoon, I just found this part of YT today. I've been a member here for a while now, don't post a lot but when I do I no longer receive email notification of replies in the threads I post in, I used to get them at one time and they just stopped.
I have it setup right in my profile I think. I belong to other forums and get notifications from them with no trouble so I don't think my computer settings are the problem.
Not a big deal really but it is helpful in following up on topics.
Thanks for any help. great site. Oh, I much prefer modern view and that is all I use if that makes any difference. |

| I noticed the Y was missing but that is still only going to get you half of the notifications. I need to make the classic notify modern users (to be honest, in my old memory, I'm not sure I didn't fix that, but it's not tested for sure).
I will fix the Y for you. The reason you couldn't, is apparently because you had another username. I can do it though and will in a couple of minutes.

I feel dumb now, I found a letter missing in my email address in my profile, that would explain it I bet.
Tried to fix it but get a message that says:
"Sorry, but that e-mail address is already registered to a user".
I can log in and out with no problem.
What's next? |

It does make a difference if you use modern view. Classic replies still don't generate notifications to modern view users. A couple of months ago, I started the project to get that working. I got as far as making email responses work from classic to modern view users, but still didn't get the notifications going.
You should get notifications for replies that are done on modern view. If that isn't working either, double check your email address in the profile. If you set notifications on this thread, you should get one since I use modern nearly exclusively. But, most users still use classic view so it will be more often than not, that you won't get notifications.
I will put this back on the front burner (again).
