Chris, There is a post on the oliver forum, "pulling engine on 2255" by high53 that has no reply's on Classic and 7 reply's in Modern. Also noticed in Modern that it had something like 817 veiws. Not sure but seems high as it was only started today Jan. 27. Also seems to be attached to thread above in Classic (no space). Not a emergency or nothing, just thought I'd bring it to your attention as seems something ain't right there. Rocky |

| | Looks like this is a special case. The thread will show replies on both sides if you go look at the Modern version, then click on "Classic View". The problem is that Classic doesn't keep threads that long and it's long archived (not on the forum list). The replies do end up there, but they end up being single posts and threads. I should stop modern view replies anytime the thread rolls off classic, but it's not an easy thing to do. So replies just keep rolling in over the years from the Modern side. They aren't viewable on the classic side. Given how old it is, the view count is easily possible. If you imagine how many millions of people may have typed in that search string in a search engine and then clicked in, it's believable. If we kept view counts on classic, it would be probably 5 times that. |

| Thanks, I will take a look. The database may have lost connection. I won't be able to recover sync between the two for a specific thread but can stop the problem. |

| You may be checking it out right now and so this may be redundant, but Kyle.H just replyed to it in Classic, (I Think), and it appeared as a new post in Modern. Don't get my intention wrong here Chris, not policing your site just trying to be helpfull. Rocky. |

| | No problem Rocky, you've brought up a flaw that will happen from time to time. All replies to that post on Modern will basically generate their own thread on classic. Then replies on classic to that thread, probably will become new threads on Modern. It's a hopelessly out of sync condition that I never considered. It's easy to do though, because you can search up an old thread on Modern or get there from a search engine, and there is nothing to stop you from replying to it. I'll think about how I might keep it from happening, but it's likely going to take some programming to stop it. |
