Hey everyone, I just restored my first model A. it runs really well but i have a few concerns. one is that it is running hot. around 210 although i dont think i drove it long enough for the convection to kick in. also, im getting a little oil through my releif valves. is that normal? if not how can i fix it? thankyou in advance, kevin |

| Kevin, You don't say what model A you have but if it is one without a water pump and you poured antifreeze in with out mixing it with water first you might need to drain it. The water and antifreeze will not function properly in the Thermo-syphon system if not premixed. Also, make sure your water/antifreeze level is up over the top of the radiator core.
You don't say if your petcocks are new or used but it is pretty common for the petcocks to leak a little with age. Sometimes you can take them apart and seat them with some really fine valve grinding compound. But I have had some that would not seal up despite my best efforts.
