Thanks all for the replies! I'm thinking there may be an issue with the carb. I found that if I run the tractor at all and shut it off, it won't start agian - unless it sits for awhile. Doesn't mater if it's warm or not. I saw in another posting that the carb could flood the cylinders with gas afterward it's shut off. i got the tractor running and then shut the gas off and let the tractor stop on it's own. Once it did, I turned the gas on and tried to start it - and it started right up. Any ideas on what I could have done wrong on the carb? Its a TSX-860.
Thanks! |

| Couple things come to mind. #1 float set wrong. #2 if you replaced the needle seat and the needle the seat may not be tight enough. #3 the needle you put in has the rubber tip and if it does it takes time for it the get a set in the rubber so it seals like it should. I always preset the needle by setting it in the seat and then tapping on it a few times with a screwdriver handle etc. |
