Is there a good way of getting the rust pieces off of an old inertube? Othet than scraping them off. Will soaking them in any solution help? |

| I have had the same situation. It is a wise choice to remove the chunks, as I have had a flat before, when there was nothing in the tire, no hole just the rust chunks from a prior leak. I worked my way up to a wire wheel, which worked pretty well. It did not tend to go too deep too fast, because of the give of the tube I suppose. I put a fair amount of air in the tube. |

| I start by airing them up a bit over full so a lot of them fall off. Also coating it with water/dish soap helps some to |

Just scrape the rust chunks off. If you end up making a hole in the tube, then the tube was doomed for replacement anyway. |
