Any creative ideas on how to fix or am I going to have to buy this piece? If so any ideas where I could get one? I am in SE PA. Thanks [Reply]   [No Email]

Several options for fixing that. If you are a pretty good welder you could cut the bent portion out, find a piece of pipe to slip over the straight ends and weld it in place, then fabricate a hold down strap for the center, if you have to pay somebody to do that it could get costly. If you"re not a welder you could check scrap yards for a disk axle that would fit, that would probably be easiest, a axle from a different disk might work. Third option would be to scrap the disk and go get a different one. Good disks that size can be had around here pretty reasonably. [Reply]  [No Email]

About the only way to do it is to cut the center section out and replace it with another piece of tubing. Weld like a steam pipe and grind down and slide a short piece of bigger tubbing (about 10" long)over the weld and weld it to both sides for added strenth. The bracket for the cylinder will have to be cut off the tube and welded to the new one. Make sure the wheels are in the same posision before welding. I can measure mine for the right hight when the cylinder is fully down (closed). Its not a bad job just takes time to do it right. Bandit [Reply]  [No Email]

I hand the same issue, but it was not near that bad. I used a rosebud tip on my torch, and a chain fall ratchet. You have to over-bend it a little because it will come back some. As bad as that,s bent, it will probably wrinkle on the back side. Plus, your going to use a LOT of gas. [Reply]  [No Email]

I think that I would be looking for some replacement tubing and cut out the bent part. Maybe even boxing with some angle stock with a short section of pipe in the middle for the pivot.
