Bought an Allis B a few days ago. Steering was sloppy and now it is real tight and seems to be binding somewhere. Is there some adjustment in the steering box assembly?Thanks

| Some B"s have the Ross steering box. Some have the Gemmer box. I have overhauled a Gemmer and there are several adjustments to be made.
1. Shaft end play (bearing clearance)
2. Gear mesh both right and left turn
3. Gear mesh centered.
It may take a while, but can be done. Need a manual to dedcribe details. I have not worked on the Ross box, but I think it may be similar.
