I have an M Farmall that I am needing to replac the front wheelbearings and seals. I have gotten the correct bearings and race, but when I took it apart it appeared to have a thin metal disk which I assume was a seal some years ago. I went to the local dealer to find this seal and all the showed that it used was a felt seal not a steel/rubber one. I looked on the Case IH website for the parts diagram and it did not have a good picture and like the dealer said only showed the felt. Any help to get the seal and the order of which all the seals go with the races wouls be a great help. |

You may want to get a parts book. The drawings are very helpful in situations like this.
As I recall the sheet metal guard is not readily available, search out Rusty Farmall, he has American made bearings for that tractor.
He can probably tell you the assembly order also.
It has been a while since I done mine, but I think the slingers go in the hub, then the races, on the spindle is a slinger, felt and seal in the hub, I think. |

| Yeah I am very familiar with both vendors, but I am not sure of the order in which all of the parts go back together? Both front wheels had been run so long before I bought the tractor it was hard to tell what went where when I tore it down. |

There is a felt and a seal like you are talking about. The part you are looking for can probably be had from this site. If not I just bought one from another vendor for $30. If you don't find it from the folks here, just google farmall wheel seal and go to the one whos name starts with a S t ei n er. |
