Boil it in soap water. That will soften all the gunk.

Heat. It's brass and should let go pretty easy. Provided it isn't full of fresh gas or something that is.

If your talking about the down pointing main jet adjustment needle I would try dropping the whole carb in a can of carb cleaner which you will need any how and let it sock a couple days that way and that might be enough to free it up. Other wise if you try to drill it out and brake it you could be looking for the bottom half of a carb

my problem is the needle valve assembly that unit that is screwed into the bowl will not come out..I will try heat also, the carburetor is out and I have used all kinds of spray rust disolvers.that is why I thought of drilling it out.

If your not talking about the down pointing main jet adjustment needle but instead the main jet it self I never remove them I clean them where they are and have only had problem once in a while with doing it this way. I simply use a small wire and spray carb cleaner to make sure it is open and lots of compressed air

It sounds like he is trying to remove the seat of the float valve. I never heard it called a jet and most kits do not include the jets

Ya he is not real clear as to what he is trying to take out. From what he is saying it could be 2 or 3 different parts
