Jack Waldman 07-10-2012 20:37:50 216.106.219.26 Report to Moderator	I have a 600 Ford tractor with the 4 speed tranny, and 3 point hitch. I was using a 5 ft. rotary mower in my trees and everthing was working fine. Then oil started to come out of the shift lever boot. I checked the hydraulic fluid and it didn't show on the dipstick, so I opened the tranny fill cover and it was full to the top. Is there a seal or o-ring in between the tranny and the center section that allows the oil to leak into the tranny? Or is there a return line that is leaking? Any suggestions would be appreciated. That said you may have a hole in the pump return line which is over filling the transmission since both pressure and return lines run threw the transmission housing. If it was a bad seal then you would be ok and in this case a bad seal between the transmission and hyd stump would be a blessing since the hyd fluid would go into the hyd stump and you system would still work ok [Reply]  [No Email]
