| May have a sleeve sitting high. Did you check each one or did you just pound the sleeves and pistons in then torqued down the head? Re-used or new head fasteners? Some old fasteners won"t take a 2nd torquing and provide sufficient tension. Don"t putt around with a rebuild, take it out and work it. Must have been some sort or miss communication with the shop about the cylinder head. Install new guides then cut the seats true. Couldn"t imagine having the head off a gasser and not replace guides, new exhaust seats if required and a valve job. |

| Did you retorque the head bolts after initial run? Try that first, if you still get white smoke pull the head, minimum head gasket is leaking, perhaps flipped upside down..or bad head gasket... I'd hate to think what else could be wrong..... |

| | That would be water in the cylinders. Something's definitely wrong there. I'd pull the head and see what's up. Do a quick compression test first before removing the head to see if you can identify where the main problem is. Could just be bad/incorrect head gasket. Could have been getting oil in that way - followed by water later. |

| I would stop running it with white smoke and check for water. Could be very bad. |
