Is there a method to getting the air out of the lines on my tractor when I run out of fuel? I know about the hand pump and know about pumping the fuel filter full, but how do I get all the air out of the rest of the lines to the fuel pump on the tractor. |

| Crack the supply line loose at the pump. A leaf blower or a reversed shop vac will pressurize the tank enough to fill the filters and lines. |

| | We had a heavy field dynanmometer that had 2 big Cummins diesel engines when it was converted from gas to diesel. The gas engines were 500hp Ford engines used in the T23 electric tank. We usually had a air problem when we changed fuel fiters on the Cummins. We took a fuel cap and welded a tube fitting on it and used low air pressure to force the air out. No problem starting after that. We would lower the air pressure on the regulator until 2 or 3 lbs were on the gauge. That fuel tank held 400 gallons of fuel, but the engines were mounted above the fuel tank. Hal |

| Bleed air from filter....Next, bleed air from LOWER bleed screw on injector pump. Then bleed air from UPPER bleed screw on injector pump. THEN go to individual injectors, crack them open one @ a time and bleed there. You should start. If it runs rough, repeat until all air is out of system. If you ran it out of fuel, there's a fair chance you might have drawn dirt/water/ect into filters/past filters into system. |

| Crack the lines loose at the injectors, and turn the engine over. |
