Decided to disassemble the dead tach on my JD2630 to see how the tach ticks
Got things apart and now see I need some parts such as the little hair spring and the plastic gear. The remainder cleaned up fairly well.
Has anyone been down this road before and have you located a source for these little parts?
Would like to rebuild rather than throw in a NOT inexpensive aftermarket one. The original JD tach (AR65445) is pretty much out of reach $$$$$$$
Any help getting me pointed in the right direction would be appreciated.
Thanks. |

You could try a rebuilder, and see what that will cost. I can get an ad from Antique Power Magazine......Metro Speedometer 8164780116. Another, Star Speedometer 3865695284. Might call them and get an estimate. |
