Building a JDG with 9-3/8" stroke. I made the rods after a 4020 design (45 degree cap angle) but I think I should of rotated the cap angle more to about 30 degrees. Going to "mock-up" here soon but I would like some opinions here as to what I'm in for and how much I need to clear things by. I really don't want to thin the cam out more than it already is, other than some clearancing on the lobes. This is the first time I've done this so I appreciate all your inputs here. I've got a good credible friend helping me so I'm totally not novice here. Thanks |

| Jugs...I know. I"m just a little pissed at myself for "missing the boat" on my cap angle. How close are you clearing things by in your G? |

| Clearancing what??? It's bone stock! Lol. I'm an 1/8 more, and I have plenty of clearance. I "think" it's prob. 1/8 or so. It's been so long that I've had the cover off...never any probs. After getting it done I could see that a 9 3/4 would have been easily doable. It was no problem compared to the "Big Jugs" tractor, now that was tight...I mean tight! |

Do you have any pictures of Big Jugs handy? I think I may have seen one before but I can't remember.
Thanks |
