I am getting an 88 standard on Saturday, it has the 13/48 gear... How fast will it go 1st and 2nd with 16.9x38s. Or 18.4x38 @ say 2100rpm
Thanks

| Make sure you count the teeth. I've bought two 88 std. in the past that did not have the 13 tooth. Not a fun surprise when you buy a whole tractor for just the rearend. Good Luck! |

| | That's the early standard ring and pinion which is the fastest ring and pinion for those tractors. That is a good find because the 13:48 gear set is much less common than the later 12:47 set. At 2100rpm on 16.9-38s: 1st: 4.4 mph 2nd: 5.7 mph At 2100rpm on 18.4-38s: 1st: 4.5 mph 2nd: 5.9 mph That is going to be awesome. Zack |
