| Personally, Id turbo charge it. for now, keep the rpm down to 2200 for now, till you get to know more about your 560. Theres alot you can do for now to help it make better power, and pull better. Find someone experienced in porting that truck head just right, totally overhaul your ignition, think elect fan on radiator, find a 460 lower bolster n some 5.50x15 tri ribs on the front. Id even consider building a custom built upper bolster n go crazy on the design. can lose a good 300lbs off the front n help balance easier. Yrs ago, we had a 560 diesel, and a 656 bored out to a 301 n farmed with em. Both were alot of fun to operate with common sense. The 656 was fun liteweight that when the throttle was cracked, the new engine would rev right up and it didnt pull down. Pulled out a IH 403 combine many times with that 560d n 656g trying to combine last 20 acres of corn in some soft ground. The 560 diesel wasnt a slouch, it was an old cement puller before we got it. Hopped up 282, used to have a turbo on it. The ol timer had alot of work done to the engine, injectors, pump, glow plugs, and it would start in 0 weather with the glow plugs cycled a few times. lol. wish we had a video of us pullin out that stuck 403. lol real tractor pullin there! |
