Talked to a guy today that said that IH made 10 1066 call Hypermaxes. I know that Jerry LaGod was an engineer @ IH and formed Hypermax. Is this true or did they just have Hypermax components? |

| I read, a long time ago, where a puller developed the hypermax system and everyone at the time (including Int engineers ) was in awe of the power he was getting from his Int tractor. He even helped competitors. He went to attorney to get patent, attn said we have to call this something, they were trying to come up with a name & his kid was getting restless; the guy yelled to his kid " Do you have to be so hyper Max?" The attn said ,that's it what a name! I forget Max's dad's name, but he developed the famous Hypermax multi-turbo water injection system. |

| Max was Jerry Lagod s son. Jerry was a design engineer with IH and started Hypermax using IH s money but Hypermax has never built a tractor, only modified them. The story is partly true but had nothing to do with patents. He was registering the company name and trying to think of a name. Hypermax came about in the car on the way to register the company. Hypermax was created by Jerry Lagod for IH to keep IH from being sued if an incident of the track occured causing a lawsuit. Some of your story is correct but that is the correct story. |
