How far can you stroke a G before you have to move tbe camshaft? What rod works good?

Basically what Hosey said. You can stretch the 3" pin to 10.375 if you want a cam that's ready to break. Also with a real big stroke you will have to counter sink rod bolts to avoid the gears behind #2 rod. When I ship rods this is already done. How big are you wanting to go?

my rule of thumb is Stroke plus journal = 13.25-13.375"

I know people with 9.25 also and they had to clear
.125 off 3rd gear . maybe all stroking is not the
same , could be yours is better, others maybe not .

10" OR MAY BE 10 1/8 WITH A 3.0" PIN 4010 OR 4020 HOOK ROD WORKS WELL. 9.750 WITH A 3.5 PIN.
