I am trying to loose a little weight on a john deere 60 I have so far put a flat back on, hubs and pressed steel rims went to a paper air cleaner, removed the power trol pump and drive. I have a single front wheel setup on it and am down to 5600 lbs any other ideas to loose a few more pounds. I am up for suggestions, thank you in advance.

I don't have any on hand but I have about a 2 week turn around on bull gears.

Mine run between $600 and $800 depending on how long and how much I take off. A pair for a G would be $600. An A would be similar.

Get rid of the entire front end and build one with a rack and pinion.

My son turns the bull gears down. On a G he gets them down to 35 lbs. each. I thought he said they are 70 or 75 to start with. He has some for sell or will turn yours for you. He does all brands.

There is so many things. 35 lbs of oil in the rear end. Serious tp's drill their rear axles. cut windows in their bull gears. Is the pto completely gone. permanent magnet starter. Do away with all the fan drive. Radiator, I doubt you can even carry it. A little Honda one will work. MT front. including the gear box. Your hitch and wheelie bars, can you build others that weigh half as much and you can still jack it up with them. The list goes on and on. I bet you can loose another 800 to 1000 lbs.

Swap out the fuel tank for a 3 gal plastic lawn mower tank. Lose the weight of the tank and the weight of 5 extra gal of gas.

Aluminum flat back?
