Curious to see if anyone has come up with a solid way of making a front weight bracket that you can remove in a matter of a few minutes. Have a problem with hauling multiple tractors. I am considering making a bracket that I can pull on and off in a matter of minutes but also would like to have a weight bracket that is extended out to its max of 11 foot? pictures or suggestions would be great!! I have 2 jd's I pull with.

|   I did something similar to what Matt suggests. Basically I used box tubing in a short section, welding a D-ring onto it for chaining it down on the trailer. I then cut a smaller piece of tubing to slide inside of the fixed tube. It is held in place with a cross pin with lynch pin. It can be removed in literally 2 seconds. Zack

| You, can use 2 different sizes of square tubing. Bolt a bigger piece of short tubing to the frame, then build your front weight bracket so it can slide in the front and to whatever length from the rear axle you need for where your pulling. Then drill a hole in big tube bolted to the frame weld a nut on the hole then you can use a bolt to lock the weight bracket at what length you want. Hope this helps! Matt

| | I've seen them that don't actually bolt on but instead clamp on and just loosen the clamps and slide them back along the frame. Jim

|  like the other two have said, mine is bolted to the frame via the row of holes right under the grills (if styled). it is made of 4 inch flat bar, 1/2 inch thick, and sticks out in front of the steering column by about 18-24 inches. obviously you can make it quicker to attach/detach by using hitch pins through the frame and bracket instead of bolts. but you can hang weights off the side of the bracket as well as out the end so it can hold at least 1000+ lb. (if you find that necessary). hopefully this picture helps

| I have one that is held on by a bolt on each side, then in the front instead of bolting it on I threaded the bolts in then cut the heads off so that the weight is just supported on the two bolts.

| I have one on my john deere 60 that bolts on the sides of the frame and folds up by pulling 2 pins does not stick past the front wheel and holds 7 ih weights
